Privacy policy

Igkin processes the public Instagram link you submit so the download provider can locate available media. You do not need an Igkin account or an Instagram password.

Information processed

The submitted URL, selected file filter, IP address, browser information, timestamps, and technical error data may be processed by Igkin’s hosting infrastructure and download provider to complete and protect the service.

Media and links

Igkin does not host the downloadable media shown in your results. Returned media links may be temporary and are controlled by Instagram or the processing provider.

Security and retention

Do not submit private or confidential links. Operational logs may be retained for security, reliability, and abuse prevention according to the policies of the hosting and API providers.

Optional recent links

Recent links are off by default. If you enable “Remember links on this device”, Igkin stores up to 10 successfully processed post or Reel links, their selected format, and a timestamp in this browser’s local storage. Tracking parameters are removed; media files, captions, creator names and download tokens are not stored in this list. Entries expire after 30 days and are removed when the site is next opened or active. The list is not synced to your account or admin dashboard. Anyone using the same browser profile may see it. Remove individual links, clear the list, or turn the option off to delete this local history. Selecting an entry only fills the form; pressing Download submits the link to the service again.
